In October 2023, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Robert Lorente by a customer of Great Point Capital LLC alleging lack of suitability on three (3) REITs purchased in 2019 (February through April). Various claims alleging negligence, misrepresentation/omission, common law fraud, breach of contract and fiduciary duty. Per the customer, he/she lost over $250,000 because of Mr. Lorente’s actions. As of this publication date, this claim remains pending.
In April 2021, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Robert Lorente by a customer of Concorde Investment Services, LLC alleging negligence, gross negligence, misrepresentations and omissions, breach of contract relating to investment made in July 2016. Per the customer, he/she lost over $35,000 because of Mr. Lorente’s actions. On January 24, 2022, Mr. Lorente settled the claim for $12,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Lorente’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
