In December 2022, FINRA initiated a regulatory action against or in reference to Ahmed Gheith for allegedly soliciting prospective investors to purchase private placement offerings claiming exemption from registration under Rule 506 of Regulation D of the Securities Act of 1933 but without having established pre-existing, substantive relationships with any of the investors.

In April 2018, FINRA initiated a regulatory action against or in reference to Ahmed Gheith for allegedly receiving compensation for his participation in private securities transactions without providing notice or receiving approval from his member firm.

In August 2017, Paulson Investment Company LLC terminated Ahmed Gheith after discovery of violations of firm WSPs, failure to provide honest answers on annual questionnaires, violations of FINRA Rule 3280, and due to initiation of customer arbitration alleging fraud, negligence, and unjust enrichment.

In April 2017, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Ahmed Gheith by a customer of Paulson Investment Company LLC alleging fraud, negligent representations, negligence and unjust enrichment. Per the customer, he/she lost over $1,000,000 because of Mr. Gheith’s actions. On September 25, 2018, Mr. Gheith settled the claim for $165,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Gheith’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
