In May 2019, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Bradley Renberg by multiple customers of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC alleging that the clients were recommended unsuitable investments and transactions including high-risk investments in the energy and retail sectors. Per the customers, they lost over $380,000 because of Mr. Renberg’s actions. On April 3, 2020, Mr. Renberg settled the claim for $150,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Renberg’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In February 2018, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Bradley Renberg by a customer of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC alleging that Mr. Renberg recommended unsuitable investments and executed unauthorized trades in 2017. Per the customer, he/she lost over $5,000 because of Mr. Renberg’s actions.
In December 2000, a NASD arbitration was filed against or in reference to Bradley Renberg by a customer of Olde Discount Corporation alleging breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, violation of securities laws, omission of fact, unauthorized purchase, and negligence. Per the customer, he/she lost over $262,987.50 because of Mr. Renberg’s actions. On June 12, 2002, Mr. Renberg settled the claim for $105,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Renberg’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In May 2000, a NYSE arbitration was filed against or in reference to Bradley Renberg by a customer of Olde Discount Corporation alleging unsuitability, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty and excessive trading in connection with various transactions occurring between April, 1999 and March, 2000. Per the customer, he/she lost over $173,955 because of Mr. Renberg’s actions. An arbitration panel found that Mr. Renberg was negligent and awarded $130,000 in favor of the customers.
In March 1988, misdemeanor charges were pressed against Mr. Renberg in the Clear Lake Police Department for 5th degree theft. In April of 1988, Mr. Renberg completed the court requirement of paying a $50 fine.
