In October 2020, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Brian Bausman by multiple customers of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC alleging that from October 2015 to November 2018, Respondents recommended and placed Claimants in a monthly fee-based managed account that was not suitable for Claimants; and failed to recommend and place Claimants in commission-based brokerage account. Claimants seek $8,260.42 in management and investment advisory fees. Per the customers, they lost over $8,260.42 because of Mr. Bausman’s actions. On December 14, 2020, Mr. Bausman settled the claim for $8,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Bausman’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In December 2005, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Brian Bausman by multiple customers of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC alleging that Mr. Bausman invested the clients’ money without taking their long and short term goals. They also allege their investments are not appropriate for their age, income level, and retirement needs. Per the customers, they lost over $21,290 because of Mr. Bausman’s actions.
