In December 2020, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Brian Summers by a customer of Wells Fargo Clearing Services, LLC alleging that around 2009, Mr. Summers recommended unsuitable investments in an E*TRADE accounts. On May 4, 2022, Mr. Summers settled the claim for $50,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Summers’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In December 2020, Brian Summers resigned from Wells Fargo Clearing Services, LLC, not knowing he was under investigation. At the time of resignation employee was under review related to third party allegation that spouse’s name was listed on the deed of customer’s home, and a later received allegations in arbitration claim, brought on behalf of deceased client, that he and or another FA traded in customer account, held outside the Firm, and pressured customer to open joint bank accounts with employee.

In December 2020, Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated terminated Brian Summers for failure to timely disclose an arbitration.

In March 1995, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Brian Summers by a customer of Prudential Securities Incorporated alleging misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, and failure to supervise. Per the customer, he/she lost over $9,999 because of Mr. Summers’s actions. An arbitration panel found that Brian Summers was negligent and awarded $75 in favor of the customers.
