Per the customers, they lost over $200,000 because of Ms. Cure’s actions. On October 24, 2023, Ms. Cure settled the claim for $46,500, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Ms. Cure’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In May 2022, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Eileen Cure by multiple customers of Avantax Investment Services, Inc. alleging that Ms. Cure recommended an investment that was unsuitable for her customer. Per the customers, they lost over $25,000 because of Ms. Cure’s actions. On November 11, 2022, Ms. Cure settled the claim for $15,833, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Ms. Cure’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
