On April 6, 2021, Mr. Arivett settled the claim for $9,321, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Arivett’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In March 2021, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Joel Arivett by a customer of Edward Jones alleging that funds were not invested in 529 plans as instructed. On April 12, 2021, Mr. Arivett settled the claim for $5,325, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Arivett’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In April 2020, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Joel Arivett by a customer of Edward Jones alleging that Mr. Arivett promised that the client’s account would have $115,000 once trades were processed, but the account only had $107,895.67 after the trades were completed. Per the customer, he/she lost over $7,103.33 because of Mr. Arivett’s actions. On May 11, 2020, Mr. Arivett settled the claim for $7,103.33, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Arivett’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
