In January 2013, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Matthew Kocsis by a customer of Equity Services, Inc. alleging that Mr. Kocsis failed to disclose material facts and misrepresented a private placement program. Per the customer, he/she lost over $250,000 because of Mr. Kocsis’s actions. On February 27, 2014, Mr. Kocsis settled the claim for $152,500, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Kocsis’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In April 2012, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Matthew Kocsis by a customer of Equity Services, Inc. alleging that Mr. Kocsis misrepresented the sale of an alternative investment in October 2006. Per the customer, he/she lost over $44,800 because of Mr. Kocsis’s actions. On August 21, 2013, Mr. Kocsis settled the claim for $15,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Kocsis’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
