In October 2008, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Michael Dietrich by a customer of Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated alleging that Mr. Dietrich’s reverse convertible recommendation was unsuitable for the client’s portfolio. Per the customer, he lost over $48,000 because of Mr. Dietrich’s actions. On July 10, 2009, Mr. Dietrich settled the claim for $5,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Dietrich’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In March 2004, a NASD arbitration was filed against or in reference to Michael Dietrich by a customer of Morgan Stanley DW Inc. alleging unsuitable recommendations, misrepresentations, and other claims relating to investments made between January 2000 and January 2003.
