The client further alleges the strategy was not purchased in the client’s best interest. Per the customer, he/she lost over $974,094.12 because of Mr. Vassalotti’s actions. On May 1, 2023, Mr. Vassalotti settled the claim for $1,150,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Vassalotti’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In February 2009, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Michael Vassalotti by a customer of Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated alleging that investments purchased on December 8, 2006 were not suitable for the customer. Per the customer, he/she lost over $108,416.57 because of Mr. Vassalotti’s actions.
