In May 2009, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Paul Hulen by a customer of Edward Jones alleging that Mr. Hulen did not manage the client’s accounts. Per the customer, she lost over $5,000 because of Mr. Hulen’s actions.

In May 2004, Missouri Securities Division initiated a regulatory action against or in reference to Paul Hulen for allegedly investing the customer’s portfolio in a manner inconsistent with the client’s investment objectives.

In February 2002, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Paul Hulen by multiple customers of Edward Jones alleging that due to the mismanagement of their accounts, the value of their portfolio has reduced by 50%. The clients claim the losses “grossly” exceeded their ability and willingness to front such risk to their savings. The clients claim IR, Paul Hulen, did not explain the degree of risk laid out in the investment plan suggested to them nor did the IR follow the risk-tolerant guidelines the clients claim they provided. Per the customers, they lost over $5,000 because of Mr. Hulen’s actions.

In September 1997, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Paul Hulen alleging that Mr. Hulen sold the client a high-risk stock but did not present it as high-risk. The client claimed that Mr. Hulen never advised him of the risks involved with the stock purchase.
