In May 2002, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Richard Rogers Jr. by a customer of First Union Securities Inc. alleging that all transactions in the client’s account in 2001 were unauthorized resulting in losses. Per the customer, she lost over $15,269.69 because of Mr. Rogers’s actions.

In June 1989, Commodity Futures Trade Commission initiated a regulatory action against or in reference to Richard Rogers Jr. in connection with orders to make, or the making of, contracts of sale of commodities for future delivery, made, or to be made, on or subject to the rules of any contract market for or on behalf of other persons, such contracts to be used for (a) hedging any transaction in interstate commerce in such commodity or the products or by-products thereof, or (b) determining the price basis of any transaction in interstate commerce in such commodity, or (c) delivering any such commodity sold, shipped or received in interstate commerce for the fulfillment thereof, cheated or defrauded or attempted to cheat or defraud his customers or prospective customers, in violation of Section 4(b)A of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”).

In April 1984, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Richard Rogers Jr. by a customer of First Commodity Corporation of Boston alleging misrepresentation. Per the customer, he/she lost over $11,308.62 because of Mr. Rogers’ actions. On December 8, 1986, Mr. Rogers settled the claim for $16,166.46, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Rogers’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In February 1961, charges were pressed against Mr. Rogers in Roxbury District Court. Mr. Rogers received a charge for larceny.
