In March 2021, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Robert Fross by a customer of SII Investments, Inc. alleging unsuitability in connection with a REIT purchase made over 12 years ago at SII Investments. Per the customer, he/she lost over $50,000 because of Mr. Fross’s actions. On March 30, 2021, Mr. Fross settled the claim for $14,999, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Fross’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In May 2013, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Robert Fross by a customer of SII Investments, Inc. alleging that the client’s investment was unsuitable for their IRA. Per the customer, he/she lost over $144,368.53 because of Mr. Fross’s actions.

In April 2013, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Robert Fross by multiple customers of SII Investments, Inc. alleging unsuitable and inappropriate investment recommendations involving the switching of annuity contracts and purchase of speculative illiquid REIT. Per the customers, they lost over $112,000 because of Mr. Fross’s actions. On April 4, 2014, Mr. Fross settled the claim for $14,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Fross’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In September 2011, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Robert Fross by a customer of SII Investments, Inc. alleging that the client wanted no risk and feels the two annuity contracts she purchased in 2010 are unsuitable and cannot get out due to early withdrawal penalty.
