In May 2022, FINRA initiated a regulatory action against or in reference to Scott Williams for failing to comply with an arbitration award or settlement agreement or to satisfactorily respond to a FINRA request to provide information concerning the status of compliance.

In June 2020, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Scott Williams by multiple customers of Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. alleging that Mr. Williams recommended unsuitable and concentrated positions. On February 11, 2021, Mr. Williams settled the claim for $125,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Williams’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In February 2019, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Scott Williams by a customer of LPL Financial LLC alleging churning in unsuitable investments in individual equities and penny stocks between March 2017 and March 2018 resulting in excessive commissions. Per the customer, he/she lost over $79,299.83 because of Mr. Williams’s actions. On May 15, 2019, Mr. Williams settled the claim for $61,050, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Williams’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In July, 2018, LPL Financial LLC terminated Scott Williams for violation of Firm policy regarding discretion.

In January 2009, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Scott Williams by a customer of J.J.B Hilliard, W.L. Lyons, LLC alleging that the client instructed Mr. Williams not to let the total value of his accounts fall below a specified value. Per the customer, he lost over $112,010.94 because of Mr. Williams’s actions.
