In September 2021, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Stephen Levin by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc and Milkie Ferguson Investments alleging that the investments the client purchased between 2012-2015 were unsuitable and misrepresented to him by Mr. Levin. The client further alleges the firm failed to supervise the actions of the representative and failed to conduct adequate due diligence. Per the customer, he lost over $99,999 because of Mr. Levin’s actions. On October 25, 2022, Mr. Levin settled the claim for $43,500, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Levin’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In July 2020, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Stephen Levin by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc alleging that the investment he purchased in 2014 was illiquid and not suitable for him. In addition, the client alleges the product sponsor’s offering was misrepresented. The client also alleges the firm was negligent and failed to conduct adequate due diligence. On March 1, 2022, Mr. Levin settled the claim for $68,085, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Levin’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
