In October 2023, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Aaron Davis by a customer of Edward D. Jones & Co., L.P. alleging a conflict of interest between the financial advisor and the client and failure to disclose the conflict of interest. The client alleges Edward Jones failed to properly supervise the financial advisor. The client alleges the financial advisor’s representation regarding the effects of a sale of RVP stock would have on the RVP share price were inaccurate. The client alleges the financial advisor’s opinion that RVP would be worth $30 a share were made without a reasonable basis. The client alleges the financial advisor did not properly diversify the client’s accounts or make suitable recommendations in keeping with the client’s investment objectives. Per the customer, he/she lost over $4,773,917 because of Mr. Davis’s actions. As of this publication date, this claim remains pending.
In October 2018, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Aaron Davis by a customer of Edward Jones alleging that Mr. Davis placed trades in her Advisory Solutions accounts without her authorization. Per the customer, she lost over $5,000 because of Mr. Davis’s actions. On November 13, 2018, Mr. Davis settled the claim for $12,600.67, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Davis’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
