Customer Complaints Filed Against Christopher Zelesnick For Broker Misconduct

As of this publication date, Christopher Zelesnick has been the subject of 2 customer disputes. Let’s review them below.

In April 2019, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Christopher Zelesnick by multiple customers of Impactive Advisors, LLC alleging that Mr. Zelesnick received misappropriated funds knowing, or with reckless disregard for the truth, that the monies were fraudulently obtained in furtherance of the scheme. The clients allege that Defendants have wrongfully and intentionally exercised and have conspired to exercise dominion and control over monies and funds provided by Plaintiffs, amounting to conversion. The clients allege that all payments made to Christopher Zelesnick were derived from monies invested by the Plaintiffs. Per the customers, they lost over $7,250,000 because of Christopher Zelesnick’s actions. On December 24, 2020, Christopher Zelesnick settled the claim for $85,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Christopher Zelesnick’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In January 1994, a NASD arbitration was filed against or in reference to Christopher Zelesnick alleging wrongful choice of security in selling to cover maintenance calls, and failure to supervise brokers. Per the customer, he/she lost over $66,260.35 because of Mr. Zelesnick’s actions. An arbitration panel found that Christopher Zelesnick was negligent and awarded $1,400 in favor of the customers.
