Customer Complaints Filed Against David Taddeo For Broker Misconduct

In July 2020, a complaint was filed against or in reference to David Taddeo by a customer of LPL Financial LLC alleging that the terms of Variable Annuity Income Benefit were presented in error in October 2003, that income withdrawals have been based on that error. On December 10, 2020, Mr. Taddeo settled the claim for $249,624, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Taddeo’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In April 2020, a complaint was filed against or in reference to David Taddeo by a customer of LPL Financial LLC alleging that terms of variable annuity were misrepresented and sought damages of approximately $800,000 in June 1, 2007 to January 29, 2020. On July 7, 2020, Mr. Taddeo settled the claim for $325,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Taddeo’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In January 2020, a complaint was filed against or in reference to David Taddeo by a customer of LPL Financial LLC alleging that terms of variable annuity’s income guarantee were misrepresented and sought unspecified damages of over $5,000 in April 17, 2003 to February 1, 2019. On June 19, 2020, Mr. Taddeo settled the claim for $289,625, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Taddeo’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In February 2011, a complaint was filed against or in reference to David Taddeo by a customer of LPL Financial alleging that Mr. Taddeo provided unsuitable investment recommendations and management of Tiger Claw II, LLC’s advisory account assets beginning in October of 2010, and continuing through February 2011, when the client closed the advisory account. The customer further alleges that she did not understand the associated market risks or liquidity restrictions. Per the customer, she lost over $55,000 because of Mr. Taddeo’s actions.
In June 2002, a complaint was filed against or in reference to David Taddeo by multiple customers of LINSCO/Private Ledger Corp. alleging that Mr. Taddeo caused and/or contributed to delays in closing and terminating their profit sharing plan, in late 2000 resulting in market losses and penalties of approximately $357,596. Per the customers, they lost over $357,596 because of Mr. Taddeo’s actions. On February 19, 2004, Mr. Taddeo settled the claim for $115,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Taddeo’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
