In February 2005, a complaint was filed against or in reference to David Stamper by a customer of Wachovia Securities alleging that she should not have been in unsecured or unguaranteed securities. Per the customer, she lost over $25,500 because of Mr. Stamper’s actions. On March 17, 2005, Mr. Stamper settled the claim for $24,999.99.

In April 2003, a complaint was filed against or in reference to David Stamper by a customer of Wachovia Securities alleging that Mr. Stamper described her investment as a bond, when in fact it was a preferred stock. Per the customer, she lost over $41,737.45 because of Mr. Stamper’s actions. On June 30, 2003, Mr. Stamper settled the claim for $33,672.42, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Stamper’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In October 2002, a NYSE arbitration was filed against or in reference to David Stamper by multiple customers of Wachovia Securities alleging that Mr. Stamper did not properly explain their variable annuities’ guaranteed income benefit. Per the customers, they lost over $111,641 because of Mr. Stamper’s actions.
