In February 2005, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Donald Joyal by a customer of Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. alleging that Mr. Joyal failed to disclose costs of mutual fund share classes. Per the customer, he/she lost over $5,000 because of Mr. Joyal’s actions. On March 21, 2006, Mr. Joyal settled the claim for $25,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Joyal’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
