In July 2023, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Donna Payne by a customer of Centaurus Financial, Inc. alleging that in November 2020, Ms. Payne improperly recommended a high-risk and illiquid investment. Per the customer, he/she lost over $40,000 because of Ms. Payne’s actions. As of this publication date, this claim remains pending.
In June 2001, Painewebber terminated Donna Payne after Ms. Payne acknowledged that over the past year, she authorized compensatory payments totalling approximately $70,000 to herself from a client’s outside account without having timely sought and obtained approval from the firm in violation of firm policy.
In December 2000, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Donna Payne by a customer of UBS Painewebber Inc. alleging there were many facts misrepresented to him concerning the transfer of his account to an annuity.
