In October 2020, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Eric Szczurowski by multiple customers of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC alleging that Mr. Szczurowski recommended they purchase unsuitable and high-commission Multi-Index Universal Life insurance policies (“IUL Policies”). Per the customers, they lost over $200,000 because of Mr. Szczurowski’s actions. On January 24, 2022, Mr. Szczurowski settled the claim for $47,500, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Szczurowski’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In January 2019, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Eric Szczurowski by a customer of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC alleging that Mr. Szczurowski put the client into a variable annuity in March 2014 without his knowledge or consent. Per the customer, he/she lost over $6,752.27 because of Mr. Szczurowski’s actions.
In October 2015, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Eric Szczurowski by multiple customers of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC alleging that Mr. Szczurowski failed to disclose the surrender charge schedule at the time of sale of their annuity in June 2014. Per the customers, they lost over $6,290.09 because of Mr. Szczurowski’s actions.
