The claimant contends that the investments declined in value and seeks damages under breach of fiduciary duty and negligence theories of liability. Per the customer, he lost over $100,000 because of Mr. Guist’s actions. On October 10, 2022, Mr. Guist settled the claim for $30,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Guist’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
