In August 2021, FINRA initiated a regulatory action against or in reference to Joffre Salazar. Without admitting or denying the findings, Salazar consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that he forged the signatures and initials of two customers on forms related to their purchases of fixed annuities.
In September 2019, American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. terminated Joffre Salazar for inconsistencies in client documents associated with the submission of an application brought to our attention by the issuer.
In July 2019, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Joffre Salazar by a customer of American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. alleging that the client did not sign documents and accounts were opened without her knowledge. On October 28, 2019, Mr. Salazar settled the claim for $431.11, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Salazar’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In January 2009, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Joffre Salazar by multiple customers of IFMG alleging that the clients were misled about their investment of may 2006 of a Pacific Life variable annuity. They claim that Mr. Salazar said this earned a fixed rate of 6% annually. Per the customers, they lost over $5,000 because of Mr. Salazar’s actions.
