In April 2021, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Jonathan Pyne by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc. alleging that the investments the client purchased in 2014 were unsuitable and misrepresented by the representative. The client also alleges the firm failed to adequately supervise the representative. Per the customer, he lost over $116,000 because of Mr. Pyne’s actions. On June 6, 2022, Mr. Pyne settled the claim for $57,500, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Pyne’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In September 2020, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Jonathan Pyne by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc. alleging that the investments the client purchased between 2010 and 2014 were unsuitable and misrepresented to her by the representative. The client also alleges the firm failed to supervise the activities of the representative and failed to conduct adequate due diligence. Per the customer, she lost over $250,000 because of Mr. Pyne’s actions. On September 16, 2021, Mr. Pyne settled the claim for $50,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Pyne’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In January 2019, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Jonathan Pyne by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc. alleging that the investments the client purchased between 2007-2015 were unsuitable and misrepresented by the representative. The client also alleges the firm failed to supervise the actions of the representative. Per the customer, he lost over $150,000 because of Mr. Pyne’s actions. On April 10, 2019, Mr. Pyne settled the claim for $9,500, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Pyne’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In December 2017, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Jonathan Pyne by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc. alleging that Mr. Pyne failed to meet his fiduciary obligation by mismanaging her account and failing to communicate with her that her account was losing money. The client also alleges the representative surrendered her annuity without her permission. Per the customer, she lost over $19,250 because of Mr. Pyne’s actions. On September 5, 2019, Mr. Pyne settled the claim for $5,416.

In July 2017, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Jonathan Pyne by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc. alleging that the client was misled by the representative into purchasing an investment that she didn’t know was illiquid.

In September 2016, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Jonathan Pyne by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc. alleging that the investments the client purchased in 2008 and 2009 were unsuitable and misrepresented to her by the representative. On November 21, 2016, Mr. Pyne settled the claim for $48,175.57.

In May 2011, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Jonathan Pyne by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc. alleging that an investment was misrepresented by the representative. Per the customer, he/she lost over $9,093.80 because of Mr. Pyne’s actions.

In April 2014, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Jonathan Pyne by a customer of Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services, Inc. alleging that the investments purchased in 2007 and 2008 were misrepresented and unsuitable. The client also alleges the firm failed to supervise the representative. Per the customer, he/she lost over $250,000 because of Mr. Pyne’s actions. On November 11, 2015, Mr. Pyne settled the claim for $110,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Pyne’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
