On April 20, 2021, Mr. Andreoli settled the claim for $165,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Andreoli’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In July 2000, a NASD arbitration was filed against or in reference to Joseph Andreoli by a customer of Salomon Smith Barney alleging unsuitability, negligence, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, violation of industry rules, federal securities laws and Texas statutes regarding trading of treasury bonds on margin for capital gains. Per the customer, he/she lost over $196,275.88 because of Mr. Andreoli’s actions. An arbitration panel found that Joseph Andreoli was negligent and awarded $56,555 in favor of the customers.
