In February 2021, Cetera Advisor Networks LLC terminated Kirk Knollman for violation of firm policy related to exercise of discretion over customer brokerage accounts.

In November 2019, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Kirk Knollman by a customer of Summit Brokerage Services alleging unsuitable recommendations and unauthorized trading. Per the customer, he/she lost over $100,000 because of Mr. Knollman’s actions. On September 17, 2020, Mr. Knollman settled the claim for $210,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Knollman’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In July 2012, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Kirk Knollman by multiple customers of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. alleging that Mr. Knollman made unauthorized and unsuitable trades in the clients’ accounts for the year 2009. Per the customers, they lost over $400,000 because of Mr. Knollman’s actions. On February 4, 2014, Mr. Knollman settled the claim for $180,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Knollman’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
