LLC alleging that the client opened an account with Mr. Hermes and invested $50,000 of investing capital three years ago. The client requested conservative Investments. Looking over the account recently, the client noted that the entire $50,000 is lost and that a trading strategy for speculative short-term Investments was utilized to generate excessive commissions for the Firm and the Brokers allegedly. The client also alleged the account was churned, purchasing unsuitable stocks for excessive commissions and was subject to negligence, and failure to supervise. Per the customer, he/she lost over $50,000 because of Mr. Hermes’s actions.

In March 2014, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Mark Hermes by a customer of Sterne Agee Financial Services, Inc. alleging that Mr. Hermes engaged in unauthorized trading between 2/10/14 and 3/4/14. Per the customer, he/she lost over $5,001 because of Mr. Hermes’s actions.
