In March 2009, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Matthew Shaughnessy by a customer of Morgan Stanley DW Inc. alleging failure to supervise the use of margin in customer’s brokerage account. Per the customer, he/she lost over $1,750,000 because of Mr. Shaughnessy’s actions.
