Per the customers, they lost over $75,000 because of Mr. Cartwright’s actions. On October 2, 2023, Mr. Cartwright settled the claim for $15,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Cartwright’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In May 2020, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Phillip Cartwright by a customer of Woodbury Financial Services, Inc. alleging that the recommendation of a private placement in his IRA account was not suitable and that the firm failed to conduct adequate due diligence on the investment product.
