Per the customer, he/she lost over $104,790 because of Mr. Kresel’s actions. On May 9, 2019, Mr. Kresel settled the claim for$55,000.

In January 2009, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Ronald Kresel by multiple customers of AXA Advisors, LLC alleging that the clients were sold a variable life insurance policy that was unsuitable for their needs. The clients further allege policy premiums and future costs were never completely explained. The clients are requesting the firm to cancel the policy and refund their full investment of $100,000. On February 26, 2009, Mr. Kresel settled the claim for $82,289.56, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Kresel’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In June 1999, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Ronald Kresel by a customer of AXA Advisors, LLC alleging that Mr. Kresel told the client that the cost basis of a 1995 issue variable life insurance policy could be withdrawn at any time without tax ramifications. On December 2, 1999, Mr. Kresel settled the claim for $22,120.66, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Kresel’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
