Customer Complaints Filed Against Samuel Head For Broker Misconduct

In August 2020, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Sam Head by a customer of Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. alleging that Mr. Head sold unsuitable investments based on the client’s desire to protect his principal.  Per the customer, he lost over $315,000 due to Mr. Head’s actions. On February 23, 2022, Mr. Head settled the claim for $60,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Head’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In January 2010, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Sam Head by a customer of ING Financial Partners, Inc. alleging that a transaction in July 2, 2009 directed in the client’s account was not allocated by Mr. Head as instructed. Per the customer, he/she lost over $55,542.52 due to Mr. Head’s actions. On January 20, 2010 Mr. Head settled the claim for $55,542.52, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Head’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In November 2008, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Saml Head by a customer of ING Financial Partners, Inc. alleging that Mr. Head failed to honor the client’s requests to liquidate her Hartford variable annuity contract. The client adds allegations of breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, fraud, negligence, gross negligence, and failure to supervise against Mr. Head. Per the customer, she lost over $130,000 due to Mr. Head’s actions. On January 21, 2011 Mr. Head settled the claim for $45,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Head’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In October 2008, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Sam Head by a customer of ING Financial Partners, Inc. alleging that Mr. Head sold the client’s investments that were higher risk than what the client wanted. The client adds that Mr. Head also made unauthorized reallocations to the client’s account. There was no exact alleged damage amount. On June 12, 2009, Mr. Head settled the claim for $2,646.28.

In May 2003, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Saml Head by a customer of Washington Square Securities, Inc. alleging that Mr. Head placed the client in an unsuitable sub account for his risk tolerance and investment objectives. Per the customer, he/she lost over $18,561.53 due to Mr. Head’s actions.
