In February 2024, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Sanford Schmidt by a customer of Catalyst Wealth Management alleging Violation Securities Law of 1953 815 ILCS 5/12(f), (g), and (j) Violation of the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act 815 ILCS 505/2, fraudulent misrepresentation, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, and unjust enrichment. Per the customer, she lost over $750,000 because of Mr. Schmidt’s actions. As of this publication date, this claim remains pending.
