In December 2020, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Thomas Sundberg by a customer of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC alleging that he was recommended an unsuitable, high-commission, high-risk, and speculative alternative investment, FSKR. Per the customer, he lost over $23,000 because of Mr. Sundberg’s actions. On May 15, 2023, Mr. Sundberg settled the claim for $1,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Sundberg’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In January 1998, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Thomas Sundberg alleging that Mr. Sundberg told her that her deceased husband’s annuity contract would be valued as of the date of his death versus the date the claim was processed in the home office. Per the customer, she lost over $12,000 because of Mr. Sundberg’s actions. On December 16, 1998, Mr. Sundberg settled the claim for $6,050.95, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Sundberg’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
