Per the customer, he/she lost over $125,000 because of Mr. Perkins’s actions. On October 17, 2023, Mr. Perkins settled the claim for $125,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Perkins’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In August 2008, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Troy Perkins by a customer of Wachovia Securities, LLC alleging that indicated investment was the same as a money market and that it was liquid and virtually no risk, and unauthorized purchase. On August 15, 2008, Mr. Perkins settled the claim for $250,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Perkins’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
