Per the customer, he/she lost over $500,000 because of Ms. Silguero’s actions. On May 24, 2021, Ms. Silguero settled the claim for $100,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Ms. Silguero’s employer and/or insurance carrier.
In April 2017, a FINRA arbitration was filed against or in reference to Yvonne Silguero by a customer of LPL Financial LLC alleging breach of contract and warranties; violation of Texas State Securities Statutes; negligent supervision; violation of the Texas Business and Commerce Codes; violation of consumer protection statutes, negligent misrepresentations, unjust enrichment, and breach of duties; unsuitable investment recommendations and violations of FINRA Rules; and vicarious liability. Per the customer, he/she lost over $3,759,713.55 because of Ms. Silguero’s actions. An arbitration panel found that Yvonne Silguero was negligent and awarded $1,554,839.70 in favor of the customer.
