In July 2020, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Jeffrey Cox by a customer of Synovus Securities, Inc. alleging that Mr. Cox recommended an unsuitable high-yield bond. Per the customer, he/she lost over $24,000 because of Mr. Cox’s actions. On August 26, 2020, Mr. Cox settled the claim for $7,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Cox’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In July 2010, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Jeffrey Cox by a customer of Synovus Securities, Inc. alleging that the variable annuity he purchased on 6/27/2007 was unsuitable based upon his time horizon and the sub-accounts selected. The customer also claimed he was not made aware of certain fees associated with owning the variable annuity. Per the customer, he lost over $370,000 because of Mr. Cox’s actions. On December 21, 2010, Mr. Cox settled the claim for $42,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Cox’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In July 1983, misdemeanor charges were pressed against Jeffrey Cox in the Alpharetta Municipal Court for theft by receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct.
