Customer Complaints Filed Against Roger Zullo For Broker Misconduct

In July 2018, United States Securities And Exchange Commission deemed it appropriate and in the public interest to bar Zullo from association with any broker, dealer, investment adviser, municipal securities dealer, municipal advisor, transfer agent, or nationally recognized statistical rating organization, as well as from participating in any offering of a penny stock.

In July 2017, FINRA initiated a regulatory action against or in reference to Roger Zullo. Without admitting or denying the findings, Zullo consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he failed to produce FINRA requested information and documents related to an investigation into allegations of fraud, falsification, and unsuitability in an administrative complaint filed by the Massachusetts Securities Division. The findings stated that some of the misconduct in the complaint is alleged to have affected customers who were senior citizens.

In February 2017, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Roger Zullo by a customer of LPL Financial LLC alleging misrepresentation of commissions and fees, and an unsuitable annuity purchase in February 14, 2008 to December 12, 2016. Per the customer, he/she lost over $50,000 because of Mr. Zullo’s actions. On June 8, 2017, Mr. Zullo settled the claim for $50,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Zullo’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In January 2017, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Roger Zullo by multiple customers of LPL Financial LLC alleging lack of disclosure, misrepresentation of commissions and fees, additional billing for hourly planning services, and an unsuitable annuity exchange in February 14, 2008 to December 12, 2006. On May 18, 2017, Mr. Zullo settled the claim for $27,000, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Zullo’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In January 2017, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Roger Zullo by a customer of LPL Financial LLC alleging misrepresentation of annuity and that lack of disclosure of rider has caused losses in retirement income. Per the customer, he/she lost over $95,165 because of Mr. Zullo’s actions. On April 28, 2017, Mr. Zullo settled the claim for $44,181, and some or all of this amount may have been paid by Mr. Zullo’s employer and/or insurance carrier.

In January 2017, a complaint was filed against or in reference to Roger Zullo by a customer of LPL Financial LLC alleging unsuitable VA purchase and excessive fees.

In December 2016, Massachusetts initiated a regulatory action against or in reference to Roger Zullo for allegedly fabricating the suitability profiles of numerous LPL clients, selling them scores of large, illiquid, unsuitable, high-commission variable annuities, at substantial upfront profits to himself and LPL, in violation of Sections 101, 102, and 204(a)(2)(G) of the Massachusetts Uniform Securities Act.

In December 2016, LPL Financial LLC terminated Roger Zullo for alleged fabrication of client suitability profiles and unsuitable recommendations of variable annuities, in violation of Sections 101, 102 and 204(a)(2)(G) of the Massachusetts Uniform Securities Act.
